    1. Hi, Lorenza and her mama! I love the word "buttiful." :)

  3. I am honored! And thrilled! A Corgi Butt-Palooza featuring my two favorite Corgi butts! (whoops, I meant two favorite Corgi DOGS, of course. My bad.) Tell me the truth: is it wrong that I love than shorn butt so much?
Thanks, Elizabeth. You've made my day!

    1. Sue - I love the shorn butt, too. :) Unfortunately, it was so short that it made the rest of his coat look out of proportion. Ideally, I'd keep it at that last length (but even now, it's twice that long!). Glad you liked the photos. :)

    1. Taryn - Completely by accident! I'll be tempted to say fanny-tastic a lot more often, though, I'm afraid. :)

P.S. Congratulations to you and Jimmy and Wilson, by the way! I haven't had a chance to get around and visit (with comments) lately, but I saw that you three did well in rally at Nationals. That's awesome!

  5. Vintage butts. You're killin' me! JF' tail is awesome-didn't realize cardis tales were so plume-y. I ass-ume that = a lot of brushing?

    1. Peggy, you're killin' ME (with the ass-puns)! :) Cardi tails should not be so plume-y; JF has one of the longest fluff coats I've ever seen. And yes, it gets lots of brushing (and will be getting a major haircut next week).

  6. Those are some of the cleanest fluffiest dog butts I've ever seen. Wonder why so many of our local dogs have gummy butts. [Georgia excepted, of course ;) She gets hers wiped at the slightest hint of stuff hanging out.] Cheers! x

    1. GLP - What you couldn't have known is that I carefully staged JF's recent butt shots so that his dingleberries wouldn't be visible. I wish I was making that up. ;) I think, in general, double coated dogs hide their butt gunk better than most others (unless they are JF - which is why he's getting a haircut). ;)

    1. Mel, when I first looked at your comment, I thought it said "I feel so much better after getting my butt *fixed*," and I was really concerned for you. :-D I'm so glad that your butt is, in fact, fine. ;)

  8. why does Dewi lift his tail and Jon Farleigh drag his?

    1. Mtv - You are quite observant! Oh, the darn Cardigan tailsets...Actually, per the breed standard, their tails should be carried low (like JF's) all the time, unless the dog is gaiting (running), at such times the tail should extend straight out behind the dog, like a rudder. (This helps steer the dogs while they drive cattle/sheep.) Dewi's tailset (bone) is too high for conformation, causing his tail to curl up over his back most of the time. Since he's a pet and not herding for a living (or being considered as stock), it doesn't matter, but he would be heavily penalized for that in the show ring.

I bet that was WAY more information than you wanted!

    2. No it wasn't more info than I wanted. I appreciate the info. Now see if I had been the judge I would have thought that JF's tail was the "defective" one. I like the curl....
