Jon Farleigh's Bottle Addiction, Literally

Jon Farleigh is addicted to empty Baileys coffee creamer bottles*.

I might not have mentioned this before.

He has at least one in every downstairs room. He scoops them up in his teeth, puffs up his chest, makes a lot of noise, and then struts around as if showing off the spoils of his imaginary hunt.

He can be counted on to go for a bottle when:

1) He hears a child or a cat rounding the corner to climb the stairs

2) He hears Lulabelle or Tigger moving about (in any room that he is not currently occupying)

3) He hears potential intruders outside (aka any person he hears outside)

4) I am home, but another family member enters the house

5) Anyone in the house says, "Here, kitty, kitty!" or calls out to one of our three cats by name.

In these photos (taken today), he is looking for the imaginary kitty that I so rudely called for in order to get the shots:

I am invincible with my trusty bottle!

This bottle makes me feel 10 feet tall!

Nah na na boo boo, I have a bottle and you don't!

I guess as long as he doesn't start sleeping with the bottles...or sharing his meals with the bottles...or refusing to go out in public without the bottles...

I should probably be thankful it's not a shoe addiction, right? :)

Dumb bottles.

*All bottles are BPA-free, #1 recyclable plastic and are changed out frequently.
Also, I might be addicted to coffee...and Baileys creamer.
I like the other kind of Baileys, too.
But I wouldn't give those bottles to Jon Farleigh.

  1. That's funny! My sister Lab Kootenai is a bottle fiend as well and she likes to show 'em off - see, look what I have and you don't! It's like a show we all have to watch.

And yes...better than many other things he could be carrying around..BOL

  2. Pallo picks up bottles on our walks. He will then carry them along with us for the entire walk (or until I see a recycling bin and take it from him). Fear not. Your dogs are not the only crazy ones.

And, I have to say, thank you so much for helping send me to BlogPaws with your giveaway. So far, it is awesome here. I am debating if I should impersonate you at the closing banquet should your blog win their category, since I have a fake corgi and all.

  3. Kolchak adores water bottles. We even have a special fleece toy sleeve that fits over top of them and I change them out all the time! Also, you shouldn't refer to coffee as an "addiction". Your relationship with coffee is much more complicated than that! I like to think of it more like a marriage or tumultuous love affair.

  5. Ha-ha! That is too funny! His bottle is his weapon! Leroy's weapon of choice is a shoe. He always has to grab one when he gets excited or if someone comes home:)

  6. Hi Y'all,

I used to love green tea bottles to play with. My Human put and end to that when, at training class, the trainer dared to set the bottle on a table, still half full of tea, and while doing off leash healing by the table, I swung my head over and swiped the bottle. It was not deemed funny! Even less funny because I got wet, my Human's leg and shoe got wet and the trainers tea...well...plus I broke heel to toss the bottle for a little fun.

Come on Joh Farleigh, toss and play with that thing!

Just wanted to stop to see how your week is going. Hope it's great! Wishin' y'all a great and a wonderful summer and a relaxing weekend! Stay cool!

    Y'all come by now,
    Hawk aka BrownDog
