One year ago Sunday, we thought we'd misplaced Dewi...in the house...for about two minutes. Turns out he was practically under our noses the whole time.
Since most of you had never heard of me or this blog a year ago, why don't I just let you read what I wrote about losing and finding Dewi on that chilly January day...
~~~~~
Okay so obviously, he was stuck on the stairs and not swimming in the toilet bowl - or worse. Big whoop. A little anticlimactic, wouldn't you say? Well, sure - if not for one other thing, which begs the question: How many steps does Dewi have to go up before he gets stuck - for 10 straight minutes?
Yep, ONE.
Poor guy couldn't go up or down.
He's clearly not a risk taker.
Hey! Over here! |
Dude, could you quit laughing and give me a hand? |
My kids decided to turn the moment into a teaching session. Well, sort of.
He never made it to the top.
(But did you notice Jon Farleigh hopping around up there?)
~~~~~
By the way, he eventually got over his fear...about four months later. Then about one week after that, we had to barricade the staircase. :-/
Friends, I've got a busy weekend ahead and a school holiday on Monday, so I'm giving myself a four-day weekend. woo hoo! :) I'll see you back here next Tuesday.
'Til then, happy trails!
Don't do anything I wouldn't do (which actually leaves a larger window of opportunity than you might think)!

Oh my, oh my...getting stuck on the stairs. His little face says a whole lot of what to do. And the video...priceless. Now to go read your post that you linked to from last year.
ReplyDeleteHave a delightful long weekend!
BOL
ReplyDeleteBrings me way back to my first ONE stair climb! OMD, it was SO frightening.
We have come a long ways DEWI!
Oh Dewi, you are so cute! These pictures are priceless ;) Enjoy your weekend off!!
ReplyDeleteI wanted to let you know that I have awarded you the Pawsome Blogger Award! Congrats!!!
ReplyDeleteAww, poor Dewi!
ReplyDeleteMy guys don't have any trouble doing the stairs, but they LOVE to be carried up at night. They will just stand at the bottom and look pathetic when it's time to go to bed. They have us well trained ;-)
ReplyDeleteResponding to your comment over on my blog...Yup that's what the vee of a tree is called :-) And, I had found that AimingLow post earlier in the day (more blog-hopping from Bermtopia). I commented to her about my meaning for Release the Kraken and sent her my link. She even commented back :-)
Poor Dewster! What a face :)
ReplyDeleteOh that was too funny. I bet Dewi appreciates reliving this.
ReplyDeleteHave a nice weekend!
OMG! Soooo funny! Poor Dewi!
ReplyDeleteAw, poor Dewi! So cute while stranded though. :)
ReplyDeleteHave a great weekend!
Oh gosh poor Dewi! I love the markings on his coat though so handsome :)
ReplyDeleteHeck Dewi, you had me worried I thought you where never going to get the hand of steps, at least on the video you didn't turn around and see how high up you where.
ReplyDeleteDon't you just hate them stair gates
Have a good week
See Yea George xxx
LOL. Thanks for sharing a Cardigan Classic! Even two minutes of misplacing a dog is stressful enough. I am so glad he was just being a wimp and not actually lost.
ReplyDeleteHappy Friday to you!
I think this is the funniest sequence of photos I've seen all week:) Don't tell Dewi I giggled when I saw them though, OK? For some reason he reminds me of Frankie, not in looks obviously, but attitude. The way he soon mastered the stairs and then they had to be barricaded, that's very Franki-ish:)
ReplyDeleteEnjoy your long weekend!
BOL BOL BOL! Poor Doo-wee! Sorry love I laughed. Your kids' motivational techniques! JF being so helpful! If I were DW, I might have turned tail and rolled down the stairs . Oh and that nonstop waggy tail :)
ReplyDeletePoor, poor, Dewi! You just can't let him forget, can you? Hilarious! :-D
ReplyDeleteoh my gosh! that is way too freakin funny. poor dewi.
