My Favorite Parts: Jon Farleigh (this one's for the ladies)

Notice! You can view the most recent (2015) version of this article (including several more relevant "hottie" photos) HERE.

So here we are: The post in which I tell you about Jon Farleigh's best part (not that he only has one good part, he has many, but this one is so big, so undeniably HIM, that it has to stand alone). And that, my friends, is his glorious (if unconventional), silky soft, sometimes unruly, undeniably sexy:

Fluffy Red (and white) Coat

Still a puppy - at his fullest - ne'er a blade had touched his locks.

Its squish-ability calls to my wanton fingers (and face - yes, I bury it in there sometimes) like a siren song.

You know you want to lay hands on it.

And that white patch on his hip? [sigh]

White swirly on his thigh? Artistic brilliance.

Want to know something else?
I'm pretty sure that Jon Farleigh is to Cardigan Welsh Corgis as this guy is to people:

With maybe a dash of this guy's bad boy screen persona:

I've become too distracted to type anything else.

  2. girl, you are SO in love :) that little white swirl is indeed very sweet. i think you're inspiring me to do something with G's body parts soon though i might have to invest in a good camera first. i don't think my mobile phone cam will be able to pick out individual favourite whiskers.

    1. Yes, GLP's Typist, I've flipped my lid! I would like to see some close-ups of GLP's parts. :) As for a camera, a friend told me that Apple sells separate (macro and zoom) lenses for iPhone cameras. If that's true, maybe you could just get one of those?

  3. That is quite a nice coat! So swirty, twirly and delicious. His fur looks ready for a Van Gogh painting!

  6. Oh my gosh he just is sooooo handsome! I mean he is gorgeous...that coat had me hook, line and sinker it did...so I know very little about corgis but is he a different type of corgi with his coat appearing longer? I swear someday I may have a corgi...don't tell Stewie or Tucker that, okay? Sssshhhhh.....

    1. Yes, Ms. Ellen, he has what is known in Corgis as a "fluffy" coat. It can happen when both parents carry the fluff coat length gene. It's not allowed in conformation - but fluffs can (and do) still make excellent working/performance dogs. Don't worry, your secret is safe. ;) BTW, lots of people think he's part Sheltie.

  13. Bring back Ann-Margret!

Shaun White, it must be admitted, put on one hell of a show here in Vancouver two years back.

    1. Ron, Ann-Margret is still my second most popular search topic. If you want to see her on my blog, just google her name. UGH!

I would LOVE to see Shaun White (or any of those snow boarders) perform in person. (But I'm glad I didn't see that poor woman - who later died - crash.)

  14. JF is my kind o' Cardi! And those are some seriously sexy markings on his hindquarters! I understand why you are so smitten....I trust his beauty isn't skin deep...I know fluffies are not acceptable by breed standard, but I consider my desire for one my guilty pleasure. We currently have a red Pem and 3 Shelties (and love them all), and but the apple of our eye was a senior red brindle Cardi named Derek. Still partial to dem cardi's! And yes, they do look like Sheltie X's. Maybe that's why I love the coat so much. Just something about fingers through long soft fur.......sigh......;-)

    1. Windwalker, Cardi fluff (to me) looks different than Pem fluff (although they both wear it well). :) No need to be guilty about it, though. And trust me, once you have one, you'll be smitten. JF's coat is nicer than some human heads of hair. And, yes, he's pretty on the inside. :)

    1. Sue, I'm not done with the parts, so do not fear. :) Butts and ears require special handling (read: I haven't gotten my brain around it yet). :)

  16. I love this. He really does have a beautiful coat but that little white tuft on his hip sent me over the moon. ♥

I have, however, discovered I am officially old as I have no idea who that first young man is. (Holloway, I know - at least he was born in the same decade as I. ;)

    1. Leslie - What is old? I think I'm probably there, too.

Shaun White is a world champion snow boarder, known almost equally well (imo) for his long red hair. He's only 25 and I'm old enough to be his parent. Shame on me.

  17. Oh, my, my, my..I have to turn over this reply to Julie..(although if I were to turn into a dog, I would love to look as handsome as Jon Farleigh!)
Tom, you would make a great corgi. I was captivated by the first couple of pictures, wavy fur being my weakness whether on male head or dog body; then, my hankrin' for human masculinity came to bear with perfect hunks..I am beside myself.

Tom says..I'm back. As I said before: cats 'n corgis, angels 'n saints. Great post!
