An unnamed informant (hint: is furry and whose name rhymes with Harley) has just broken wide-open the following development hiding under the riding mower in my garage:
I say to this:
WHOLLY STRAY CAT! WHAT THE FUR DO I DO WITH THIS IMPOSTOR GUY?!
(saga to be continued...ugh)
Do you have room for one more!? He may have adopted you!
ReplyDeletethey will never find you

Ugh, I'm afraid it's either 1)feral 2)terrified 3)sick 4)pregnant -- or all four. :( It will not leave my garage, even when prodded. I'll have to get some stinky food to lure it out with...
ReplyDeleteHi! Yes! Buddy has Carbon Blue in his ancestry. Buddy came from Coedwig. Bear didn't but he has Carbon Blue plus Blue Glacier, and Black Ice and several other Coedwig sires in his ancestry but quite a way back. Amazing! So much fun! Glad you asked.
ReplyDeleteAwe, poor thing. :( Any luck with stowaway yet?
ReplyDeleteChewie - She/he is still hiding in my garage. I got the kitty cornered in a storage closet, where I observed a frightened, antisocial, but otherwise healthy-looking cat. It did not respond to treats. Still trying to decide what to do...:(
ReplyDeleteCatnip? Hm, I wonder if there's a no-kill shelter that would be willing to come over and take him/her in?
ReplyDeleteMaybe s/he was someone's pet who got lost. Maybe a post on Craigslist would help.
I hope this all works out in the end.
Update: No sign of kitty this morning; must have slipped out sometime last night. I believe it's feral (which means no one could ever have it for a pet), but in case it's not, I'll keep an eye out.
