Play Dates and Ice Cream - Oh, the life of a dog's human!

Well, we had ice pellets in the mulch beds this morning and, oh yeah, the hubby used his truck last night to take out the pretty white fence at the entrance to our neighborhood and, why yes, the air bag deployed (he's okay), but on a good note, VCU is up by 14 over Kansas at the half...

Oh hai!  Don't mind me. Just a typical Sunday afternoon here. :)

Are you in the mood for some puppeee ? Great! Feast your eyes on our adorable friend Nick (these are from our play date on Friday):

Nick is a "fluffy" red Cardigan Welsh Corgi
 - just like his great-uncle Jon Farleigh.

I think Nick is a leader.

Anyone wanna play Pin the Tail on the Cardi?
I did not photoshop this; what's up with my lame-o camera?

Dewi making his move (one of many). :)

There's a dead something-or-other in the grass. Yum!

The after party was happening at Bruster's Real Ice Cream (not fake ice cream). If you don't have one in your locality, you should think about a franchise. Really. Not only do they have the best ice cream in the world, but they will also totally give each of your dogs a free doggie sundae, complete with biscuit bone on top.

I'd like to show you a picture of the dogs eating their sundaes here, but alas, I didn't take any. I was using both hands to scarf down my big scoop of (straight off the flavors menu):  *Chocolate Peanut Butter Buckeye - Butterfudge Ice Cream with Peanut Butter and Buckeyes*.

Oh, the life!

Happy Sunday!

  1. Haha, your camera has a sense of humor.

And that's cool that a real ice cream shops give dogs their own sundae. How nice.

  2. Oooh, glad your husband is okay!

Great pictures, Nick can't wait to see his buddies again! He's currently creating all kinds of havoc here in the house since it's been icky outside today. Sheesh.

    GO RAMS!!!!

  5. The VCU/Kansas game was fabulous -- you will really have something to cheer about in the Final Four. Those Cardi pals are simply too cute. Nick's Daddy Chase earned his Second Started Sheep leg today with a Reserve High in Trial -- videos on the Elyan blog.

  6. Thanks for the comments, everyone. Next time I'll take a photo of the dog's sundae before I get occupied with my own ice cream.

@Liz, he's fine, just a bruise on his arm. You should see what's left of the fence. Not good.

@Janet, yes, Liz clued me in to the free doggie sundaes (I didn't know either). You should call over to yours and request the buckeye ice cream (I'm a buckeye girl, too); it was GOOD!

@Penni, we will be pacing the floor next weekend watching VCU and Butler. What a story.
    Go, Chase!
