Let them eat (Strawberry Short) cake!

The following blog post contains images depicting graphic doll violence and may not be suitable for anyone - especially those who watch(ed) cheesy animated shows about sugary-sweet children and animals named after desserts. Viewer discretion advised.

Yesterday, Jon Farleigh and Dewi helped themselves to the dessert cart (that the kids accidentally removed from the attic and left all over the floor in the spare bedroom).

They tasted the Strawberry Shortcake...

But after removing the topping, found the berries to be too tart.

So next they moved on to the plain Angel Cake, but decided it was too dry.

They, then, picked all the blueberries out of the Blueberry Muffin...

And lapped a foot, I mean spoonful of Rainbow Sherbet.

But in the end, it was the Orange Blossom candy that they couldn't resist. Well, mostly the orange filling.

They were thoughtful and left me some crumbs.

What good boys I have!

Have a sugary-sweet weekend!

:)

  1. Oh my goodness! What tasty treats they got into! I wish I was as lucky as they were, but my non-furry sister is too big for dolls. My mommy has quite a collection, but they're too high up and in boxes... I'd have to devise a stealth mission in order to get those down!

    Happy woofs & weekend hugs,

    ~Bailey

  2. Oops! Who could resist those sweet smelling dolls? I hope they didn't get a case of heartburn after snacking. :)

  4. Thanks for the viewer discretion notice. It's amazing how Strawberry Shortcake and her friends managed to (barely) survive the jaws of JF and Dewi!

  5. I love Dewi's "innocent" expression...It seems to say, You couldn't possibly get mad at me with how adorable I am! JF's expression on the other hand seems a tad nervous, and pretty much gives away his involvement in this crime of opportunity.

  6. Oh, my! (Very clever post!) Are you going to watch their poop to make sure "everything comes out OK"? (Years ago, the toddler son of a friend of mine swallowed a quarter. The doctor told my friend to watch his poop for the quarter. My friend told the doctor "I don't need that quarter!"!)

  7. What a hysterical post! You guys are too much. We're familiar with those dolls, too, but they went to doll heaven a long time ago!

  9. In response to the last post about growing up to have a farm.....I grew up in the country with parents who took in every stray dog or cat that came along. They both loved animals and fortunately passed that on to their children. So I always figured I would follow in their footsteps. But life has a way of leading us in different directions....

  10. @Bailey - Yes, I thought they were safe in the attic. I'm afraid the shelf wouldn't be safe from the kids either. :(

@Taryn - Dewi never does anything wrong. ;) And, JF's constantly worried. But I know they're both guilty.

@Boo's Mom - That story is funny! I don't think the boys actually ate any of the dolls, but if they did, it must have turned out alright. :)

@Kristin - No indigestion or heartburn, thank goodness. :)

  11. Hey, those are collectors items right? Maybe you need to follow the dogs around for the parts :) Our dogs were mischevious this weekend too.

  13. Why couldn't they have munched on Barbie instead? Oh, you mean they don't want STDs?

Hey! Ethel is on your right sidebar! Right on (pun intended).

  16. It must have been Devil Dog day on Friday...Nick was up to no good on Friday and Saturday, then was sweet as pie yesterday...then this morning, fuggedaboutit. I chased his little rear end all over the house, he had a blast and I was ready to have a heart attack!

  18. @YDWWYW - I don't need the money that badly. Ew.

@Shanimal - Oops, they already ate the Barbies. :(

@Builder Mama - They never run; they're proud sinners.
I can picture Nick enjoying the chasing game. :)

  19. Those bad dogs make for truly excellent reading! I would LOVE to see what they can do to a Bratz doll (or a store full!)
I would like to put in an order for any spare left legs that they might have in storage. Preferably one that does NOT take a high heel, please. :)

  20. Oh no! I must admit, I had to hide my eyes on some of the images. SS was a beloved childhood friend of mine. ;)

The photos of all the bits and pieces reminded me of a game of Operation!
